Principles for partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and communities.

These Principles are designed to guide the development of a partnership-centred approach for non-Aboriginal NGOs engaging in the delivery of service or development initiatives in Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory.

Danila Dilba Health Service is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation providing culturally-appropriate, comprehensive primary health care and community services to Biluru (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) people in the Yilli Rreung (greater Darwin) region of the Northern Territory.

Vision
A society in which the health, well-being and quality of life of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is equal to that of non-Indigenous Australians.

Mission
To improve the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and social well-being of the Biluru community of the Yilli Rreung Region through innovative comprehensive primary health care programs, community services and advocacy that are based on the principles of equity, access, empowerment, community self-determination and collaboration.
